Louisiana Fish Fry - Let’s Sing Louisiana!

I am very proud of this campaign for a bunch of different reasons. I spent a year running, as an ECD, a small shop in Portland, Maine in 2020. Great timing as about 2 months in, the pandemic hit. Some campaigns we were going to shoot got canceled and to make up for this, I started proactively pitching ideas to clients in an effort to help them figure out their messaging in this confusing, scary time. For the most part, clients were genuinely enamored that we took the initiative to look after their business and find solutions quickly that didn’t hit any of the tropes of' ‘pandemic advertising’. I wanted all of our work to be positive in nature and try to help consumers find ‘community’ at a time when that word was verboten.

For this idea for Louisiana Fish Fry, we had a budget of, well, nothing. I called in some favors, made a sample video of what this could look like. And then we put it out via social channels. It worked. It got picked up by local and national media and exceeded our expectations ten fold with media coverage and impressions and helped donate some money and food to needed and worthy charities in Louisiana.
